RED WINES

SANGIOVESE

PINOT NOIR

NEBBIOLO

Sommelier notes: it is incredible how Nebbiolo grape can generate such different excellences in the red wine panorama: Nebbiolo, Barolo and Barbaresco are all produced from this variety of Vitis vinifera, yet they express 100% of the terroir where they are grown.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

SHIRAZ

PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA

Sommelier notes: Primitivo grape is also known internationally as Zinfandel, the wine is often produced with slightly overripe grapes to emphasize the fruit spectrum. The results usually deliver a round velvety bold red with pronounced alcoholic content

MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO

VALPOLICELLA

Sommelier notes: Valpolicella (translates from latin and ancient greek as “valley of many cellars”) is a viticultural zone of the province of Verona, Italy, east of Lake Garda. Corvina is the darling grape of the blend, known for its flavours of cherries and chocolate.

SUPER TUSCANS

Sommelier notes: Super Tuscan refers to a style of red wine that originated in Tuscany, Italy, in the early 1970s. Heavily influenced by Bordeaux style wines, especially in their use of new oak barrels and French grapes like cabernet sauvignon and merlot in addition to sangiovese, the classic grape of Tuscany. The best Super Tuscans are rich and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and spice from oak, and can age for decades.
